ABOUT THE SHOW:
“Waterways” is an abstract journey through landscapes near water and an exploration of the profound emotions I feel when in water’s presence. The paintings in this collection transport viewers to rivers, lakes, oceans, creeks, waterfalls, and other aqueous realms. With a colorful palette and my playful abstract style, I endeavor to convey my reverence for and love of water.
Nature offers myriad wonders that inspire and fascinate, yet few evoke such powerful emotions as the sight and sound of water. It possesses a captivating duality, capable of soothing our souls while also holding the potential for immense power and destruction. Beneath its surface lies a world of mystery, an enigmatic realm that beckons exploration and contemplation. Water pulses with a vitality that mirrors that of a living being, infusing us with a heightened sense of aliveness in its presence.
A deep sense of awe and humility washes over me in the presence of water. I believe this is one of the most moving combinations of feelings that one can experience. I hope that these works will serve as a catalyst for introspection, inviting viewers to reflect upon their own encounters with water and within these paintings may they find their way to a moment of serenity amidst the chaos of daily life.
