Empowered. That is how we want the people of Clark County to feel this Women’s History Month by showing you all the strong women that the community has recognized for this exhibition. Everyone from local artists, public figures, mothers, family members, and others of importance in our lives. This exhibition is juried by Fawn Douglas, an Indigenous artist, activist, and proud member of the Las Vegas Paiute Tribe. She is the co-founder of Nuwu Art, organizes with the nonprofit IndigenousAF, works as a cultural engagement specialist with Meow Wolf, and serves as an art commissioner for the City of Las Vegas Ward 3. Her studio practice includes drawing, painting, sculpture, performance, and textile. Douglas earned her Master of Fine Arts with presidential honors at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
