A bright spot on the second floor brings life and color to the Nevada Legislative Building in celebration of Youth Art Month. Created by children of all ages during the Arts for All Nevada workshops earlier this year, the works show how, students, some with special needs, express creativity and talents with multi-media on paper. Presented in partnership with the Nevada Arts Council, the exhibit is funded in part with revenue generated by the sales of Nevada’s “Rich in Art” license plate. The display will be up through March on the east end of the building and open during the session.

Arts for All Nevada was formerly Very Special Arts. The organization provides quality art programming for all abilities and all ages with close to 3,000 classes and camps at 50 schools and other facilities including Lake Mansion in Reno’s Arts, Historic and Riverwalk Districts.  It also conducts weekly workshops at Reno’s Renown Health’s pediatric care unit for youth who are hospitalized.
